Dr. Kurland provides evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, adults and families to treat a wide array of mental health issues, with a focus on whole person health and wellness. She has a special interest in using mind-body strategies and mindfulness in her work with her patients, and also has expertise in using cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation training and stress management techniques, and biofeedback, among other modalities. She uses a client focused, strength-based, and skills-based approach to treat individuals experiencing anxiety (including OCD, social anxiety and panic), depression, low self-esteem, stress related illnesses, stress, adjustment disorders, loss, past trauma, relationship difficulties, divorce, women’s issues, adjustment issues, mood and behavioral disorders. In addition, She has expertise in offering parent guidance to help parents develop parenting strategies that foster resilience, emotional self-regulation and self-esteem in their children. Beth is a Tedx speaker and author of three books: Dancing on the Tightrope: Transcending the Habits of Your Mind and Awakening to Your Fullest Life; The Transformative Power of Ten Minutes: An Eight Week Guide to Reducing Stress and Cultivating Well-Being; and Gifts of the Rain Puddle: Poems, Meditations and Reflections for the Mindful Soul.
