Barbara S. Leeson, Ph.D., has been a licensed psychologist, educator, consultant and mental health administrator. She is retired from Stanford University, where she was a counselor for students with learning disabilities. She was a member and Chair (for three years) of the Santa Clara County Mental Health Advisory Board. She was born in Detroit, MI, in 1939, educated at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan, and came to California in 1978. She holds the extra-class amateur radio license K6BL, and has been active in radio contesting from several continents. She lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains with her husband David, a faculty member at Stanford University.
