I have done individual and couple counseling for over thirty years. I have used several modalities including Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT. Since 2017 I have been doing multiple trainings in Internal Family Systems therapy with both individuals and couples. I have found it to be a very powerful way of helping people not only to overcome difficulties and suffering, but also develop their compassion, self awareness, and a greater degree of internal peace. IFS can be a transformative ( and I am aware that is an overused word) therapy. I have found it to be particularly helpful in this chaotic and frightening time. In addition to practicing therapy, I have taught medical students and medical residents at the Northeast Ohio College of Medicine, and I have supervised the training of mental health professionals. My professional goal is to not only be experienced, but wise as well.
