I was raised in Southern California and Hawai'i. I have grown up in communities that are rich in diversity and it has shaped who I am. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at University of California Los Angeles. I attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where I completed a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I worked during this time with developmentally disabled adults in the workplace, children and families in schools, runaway and homeless youth, and dual-diagnosed adults in the community, and in residential treatment programs for adolescent boys. Eventually, I went back to school and attended Argosy University in Hawai'i. I completed an APA predoctoral internship in Southern California at Pacific Clinics, where I provided therapy to children and families. In addition, I worked with the homeless and individuals transitioning from homelessness in the South Pasadena area. After graduating I worked at Tripler Army Medical Center, providing individual and couple therapy to active duty service members and their families. Currently, I am in private practice in Kailua, Hawai'i and serving as President-Elect for the Hawaii Psychological Association. When I am not working, I enjoy quilting, crafting, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. I'm also a voracious reader! I love being outside, but not in direct sunlight. You'll often find me on the hiking trail, on my bike or at the beach with my dog Goofy.
