I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults, teens, and preteens. My style is warm, caring, patient, and inquisitive. My clients tend to be introspective, thoughtful, and willing to consider new ways of looking at their beliefs and emotions. Their concerns include relationships with difficult parents, life transitions, relationship difficulties, depression, and questions of identity and purpose. I also work with members of the kink community on issues including self-acceptance, balancing kink and non-kink identities, and problems with partners. I believe that seeking out a therapist is an act of bravery. By doing so, you acknowledge that you have difficulties in your life that you prefer not to face alone. You seek help from a person you have never met, and give that person very personal information about yourself, hoping that your words will be listened to and understood without bias or judgment. I believe it is my job to be aware of the bravery you show by seeking me out, and to meet it by showing the highest possible degree of respect, competence, and thoughtfulness in my work with you. I also believe that to do my best work, I should respond non-defensively to any feedback you are willing to provide, and make use of our time together to provide as much benefit to you as I can.
