Dr. Hertel obtained a doctorate degree (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology, and she is currently a Licensed Psychologist & Health Service Provider in the state of Missouri. Dr. Hertel utilizes a patient-centered, cognitive behavior treatment focus. Working collaboratively with patients, Dr. Hertel individually customizes treatment plans which are most effective for creating change and helping patients achieve their goals. Dr. Hertel has offered effective, evidence-based psychotherapy (EBP) for many years in a variety of settings. She treats a number of behavioral health disorders, and provides an empathic, collaborative therapeutic approach to guide patients towards goals of treatment. -Currently, Dr. Hertel is offering patients telebehavioral health services for therapy sessions. Dr. Hertel is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA). Dr. Hertel owned and operated a large group, private practice in Springfield, Missouri. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as within community mental health organizations. Dr. Hertel proudly served those who served our country while working as a psychologist and behavioral healthcare program manager with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) .
