My practice is focused on anxiety, including panic, stress, social anxiety, OCD, and posttraumatic stress. I also help people with issues that often come with anxiety, including insomnia, depression, alcohol/substance use, and a desire for greater resilience. I primarily offer cognitive-behavioral therapies with good scientific support. When life gets tough, it can help to have someone on our side to provide non-judgmental support and practical skills. Finding a therapist who is a good "fit” is really important, so I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to help you determine if my approach is likely to be a good match for you. My therapy approach is: (1) strengths-based: I believe there is more right with you than wrong with you. (2) science-based: I use therapeutic approaches that are well-supported by clinical research. (3) collaborative: You are the best expert on yourself, and I share expertise on the process of change and growth. (4) LGBTQIA+ affirming: I welcome diversity in all its forms, and extend a warm welcome to our LBGQ+ and gender-diverse communities. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have! I look forward to connecting with you. Note on pro bono work: I offer psychological evaluations free of charge, as my schedule permits, for people (1) seeking political asylum in the USA; (2) seeking gender-affirming surgeries.
