I am amy altenhaus, PhD, an experienced, eclectic licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology who has performed a range of psychotherapy and assessment services over the years. I am always updating my skills to best serve you. I work with people who are feeling stuck in life who want to feel more in control of their life, no matter what age they are, whether they are a young adult, in their mid life or deciding whether to retire or contintue to work in their later years. When people come to me I find they do not feel like the self they knew before, may feel pulled in many directions by life demands, other people, responsibilities and sometimes chronic illness. They feel unhappy, exhausted and empty. I help people reclaim themselves, feel more in control of their life and how they want to live and feel more whole again. I also perform psychotherapy with mental health professionals including those who have complaints before the professional boards.
