Dr. Amie Love Callon, founder of South Bay Psychology Specialists, PC, offers a group practice in Manhattan Beach with highly skilled and experienced clinicians. This team of therapists provides psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children and families. Treatment focuses on a wide range of difficulties including: depression and other mood disturbances, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, family conflict, grief and loss, developmental struggles such as ADHD and low self-esteem, parenting difficulties, and more. Dr. Callon works primarily from a psychodynamic / psychoanalytic approach in order to help people build a deeper understanding of themselves and others while developing heightened emotional well-being and self-acceptance. Ultimately, this allows people to experience more harmonious relationships with themselves and others while also strengthening mind and body health. Research has continued to show that improved emotional functioning and more fulfilling relationships can actually change the functioning of the brain and enhance the quality and longevity of a person’s life.
