I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice serving clients in California, Colorado, and Florida. My passion is helping people understand themselves through Psychological Assessment and reach their life goals using evidence-based treatments that scientific research has shown to be effective. To this end, I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
I look forward to collaborating with you to understand your strengths and challenges, and practice new ways to regulate your emotions, thoughts, and behavior that enable you to accomplish your goals. I have particular interest and experience assessing and treating people with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma, ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism, giftedness, and twice-exceptionality (2e). My approach is neurodiversity affirming and strengths-based, appreciating and working with your unique gifts to help you overcome challenges.
I received my bachelor's degree from Harvard, PhD from the University of Michigan, and advanced clinical training from CSPP. I have completed numerous advanced trainings in Psychological Assessment, DBT, and CBT. In the past, I have served as Director of Postdoctoral Training, Supervisor, DBT Team Coordinator, and Embedded Psychologist in Emergency Medicine at Kaiser Santa Clara. I have also provided clinical services at Kaiser, VA medical centers, and schools. I have also been a psychology professor at Santa Clara University and taught a graduate-level DBT course there.
