Alison Singleton, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, college-aged emerging adults, and adult women. Dr. Singleton works primarily with persons experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, relational problems, AD/HD, and life transitions. She assists clients in learning emotional awareness, anger or anxiety management, coping skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills in order to manage their emotions and behavior more effectively. She works not only with the child (age 8 and older) or teenager, but with their parents as well. She offers career assessment and counseling for high school students or adults seeking to understand which career or educational path will best suit them based on their interests, abilities, and personality. She emphasizes holistic growth and healing by incorporating the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of her clients into treatment. When needed, she also consults with school and medical professionals and connects families with community services to promote their health and wellbeing. Dr. Singleton earned her degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University –Tampa and has worked in diverse settings including private group practice, public school system, college counseling and psychiatry centers, jail, and outpatient mental health. She also has experience supervising doctoral psychology students.
