In the course of my career I have worked with a broad variety of individuals varying in nationality, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. My current practice focuses on working with creative individuals, first and second generation Americans (and foreign nationals), college and graduate students, and faculty members. I am a graduate of the Core Program in Adult Psychoanalysis at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. While I am trained to provide psychoanalysis, my practice draws on a variety of approaches with which I am familiar through training and teaching. The best way to characterize my approach is to describe it as integrative, based upon how the patient and I experience each other in the initial sessions. I am a faculty member at the University of Illinois Department of Psychiatry and at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis.
