David J Palmiter, Jr. PhD, ABPP
I am board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, a Past President of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, a university professor, author, dad and husband. I'm a generalist who specializes in child, teen and family issues, though I work with individual adults as well and enjoy doing forensic evaluations. My primary goals are to create a safe and empathic atmosphere for my clients, to reach a comprehensive understanding of my clients' strengths and opportunities for growth, and to develop an intervention plan that is evidence based, practical, measurable, collaborative and effective. My primary website is at www.helpingfamilies.com (my CV is listed there as are numerous video interviews). My blog is at www.hecticparents.com and my Twitter ID is @HelpingParents. My parenting book is Working Parents, Thriving Families: 10 Strategies that Make a Difference and you can view me weekly (Mondays) on WBRE's PALive.
